One Step at a time!

Just Imagine! If you could improve any area of your personal health and wellness with a snap of your fingers, what would it be? Lower body fat percentage? Enhanced physical endurance and strength? More energy and vitality? What would you wish for? If these wishes were granted, how would your life be different? While most of us wish that our health and fitness would improve with a snap of our fingers, we realize that this is only a fantasy.
What’s the solution?

1. Focus on today and enjoy the process!
Since we have virtually no control over tomorrow and yesterday is over, our primary responsibility is to focus on today. By focusing our energy on what we can change today and not worrying about the results will lead us one step at a time down the right road! Ask yourself, what can I do today that is healthy and nurturing to my body and life?

2. Learn to value a healthy lifestyle: Describe on a card that you can carry with you daily, what your life will be like as you decide each day to nurture your health and your wellness. Also, list some of the benefits you will experience 10 years or 20 years from today as you continue your new active lifestyle. List the positive benefits of how you would feel about yourself, how your health would be effected, how your family and others may be effected by your new active lifestyle. Try this it works!!!
To truly change any lifestyle behavior involves first changing our old ways of thinking.

3. Learn to devalue an inactive unhealthy lifestyle: On the other side of your personal fitness card, describe what your life was like before you started focusing on taking better care of yourself. List some of the consequences you could experience 10 years or 20 years from today if you were to go back to an inactive unhealthy lifestyle. List the negative consequences of how you would feel about yourself, how your health would be effected, how your family and others may be effected by a decision to revert back to an inactive lifestyle

Be assured that today you can begin to make your wishes come true by making daily healthy nurturing choices! Start today, forget about tomorrow and focus on today! One day at a time make choices that are nurturing to you and others!
